Sanyo Solar PV Module
SANYO HIT solar cells are hybrids, made of thin mono crystal silicon surrounded by ultra-thin amorphous silicon layers. As temperatures rise, SANYO HIT solar panels produce more electricity than conventional crystalline silicon solar panels at the same temperature.
The junction forming process in the manufacture of HIT solar cells requires just 200C - substantially less than the 900C needed in the thermal diffusion process used for conventional crystalline solar cells. This low-temperature process makes a substantial contribution toward the conservation of energy.
- Excellent sensitivity to lower light levels or indirect light.
- HIT solar cells and modules have one of the world's highest level of conversion efficiency. (Refers to mass-produced units as at Sept 2006). HIT solar cell: 19.3% (Module Type: HIP-215NHE5)
- HIT solar cells and modules maintain higher levels of efficiency at high temperatures than their conventional crystalline silicon counterparts.
- Hybrid solar technology
- HIT solar panels have a black anodized aluminum frame.
- The small size of the panels helps to save space and achieve maximum power within a limited amount of space.
