These are a few pics of the big turbine 21 1/2 feet

This is the pole it is around 60 feet high 10 1/2" reduced to 8" reduced to six for the yaw pipe

This is me my dad and a neighbour putting it up the blades still have to go on

This is her up and flying making good power all going into heat saw up to 5KW but the tail furling up too soon put some weight on it but still to easily furled up (10-12 mph) no fun
Fried some stuff though including an inverter a controller and a few bridge rectifiers fixed all no problem only really cost me a few quid for the components. Now running 2 tri stars in parallel
Very cool looking machine well done what are the specks and how long is she up.

Not bad welding by the wayTongue
great work stu ,that was some undertaking ....bet that keeps the neibhours talking
Currently got the turbine down to change the distance between the bearing and the yaw pipe as it is furling too soon.

Was looking at the fibreglass and the magnets and how there were fixed to the disc I was surprised that the fibreglass was falling off so took all the magnets off to clean them and put them on again. But then I had a small accident and broke 6 magnets.

Have got one of the discs finished done it with body filler is waterproof and will maybe give slightly more than normal fibreglass

Will keep you posted how i get on

Oh the spec sorry the discs 24" and there 20 magnets on each disc 3"/1.5"/0.75" and 15 coils 48 turns 3 wire in hand 1.6mm was lookin for a atart up of 60 rpm or less
